Torsk Work Weekend 7
May 11-13, 2001
SATURDAY
The Engine Room Gang looks on as Cool Bob removes a part from the coffin cover that is normally stored behind #4 Main Engine. They did extensive cleaning in the Forward Engine Room, and some additional cleaning in the After Engine Room. They also painted the top of #1 generator.
Glenn Herold, Doc Beeghly and Dave Thames examine the plaque that Doc made for the Torsk Library and Archives. The library is named after Robert E Johnson TMC, who served on Torsk during her two war patrols and was Chief of the Boat on board Thresher when she sank in April of 1963.
John Wynn and Tom Miller work on replacing burnt out tubes in the 1MC. Currently, the General and Collision alarms are working, and we hope to have the Dive alarm and Voice capability in the near future.
Bob Boscarelli, Al Becker and Jon Krup hanging out in the Crew's Mess.
And YES - those are Krispy Kreme's on the table!
