October 20-22, 2000

Bob Gawe and Glenn Herold relaxing between installing bunks in the After Battery.
Topside, a coat of primer is going on the sail.
"Single up all lines. Make preparations for getting underway!"
Since when do they let a Gunners Mate take the con?
Guns manned the bridge for Whistle duty - we blew it when Constellation fired her saluting cannon.
The scraping crew works on the port side of the sail. Francois Savard, Tracey Johnston and Braddock Gaskill worked hard to get the old paint off so that Larry could prime the sail on that side before the day ended.
Francois is the grandson of "Fearless" Freddy Warder, a famous WWII fleet boat captain. Guns met him at the USSVI convention and invited him to the work weekend.
Back aft, the new deck continues to go down. Mike screws down the planks as Pete tries to whack Tim with a broom!!
