Joe Most models the top that was part of his uniform back when he was in Boot Camp, and it still has his name stenciled in it!
A final view of the completely assembled MK19 Master Gyro in the Control Room. Further plans include hooking up the lights inside for illumination.
Greg works the Air Manifolds as Doc and Tom look on. We tested the Ships Service air system (225#) at 100psi, with the purpose of being able to use it for air tools and so forth. Pressure was supplied by attaching our small compressor in the After Battery Well to the SS225 air system at the bulkhead air tool fitting just above the hatch leading aft to the FER. The system aft was in good shape, with only a little preservative fluid to be drained back in maneuvering. John Cole rebuilt one of the bulkhead salvage air valves that was leaking, and we closed off several valves aft that were open. After correcting the problems, the after end held 100psi with no problems. Forward has quite a bit of fluid in the lines and will need to be drained.
