Torsk Work Weekend IV
Sunday Work.

While checking out the air system in the FER, John Cole noticed that a leak we heard wasn't actually a leak at all, but the start lever for #1 Main Engine in the start position!! After the system was checked out aft, and the levers for both #1 and #2 placed in the stop position, the starting air guage started rising. We were getting pressure from the SS225 system at the engine air headers!! Here, Doc is watching the gauge as it rises towards 100psi.
After the air pressure reached 100psi, we took the inspection ports off the top of #2, the start lever was moved over to the start position, and the engine rolled over about 1/3 turn!!!! We were VERY excited, as you can see in the pic taken just after it rolled over. The sound and sight of that massive crank turning over was INCREDIBLE!!!! We rolled the engine a couple more times, with total rotations about 2 or a little more.
The Bandits in the FER after the engine roll. It was an exciting end to a great weekend, and opens up new possibilities for projects over the winter.
At STOP for now, but we'll be back!!!!!!!!!!
