USS Torsk SS-423

2011 Dry Docking

March 13-20, 2011

Beautiful evening aboard Torsk!

Colors coming down.

Dave Thames talks with Frank Morgan and Nat Little in the Control Room.

Chief Mike is doing...well...we're not sure!

The Christmas Tree is operational!

At 2100, everyone headed aft to watch as the flood gates in the caisson are opened.

The waters of Baltimore Harbor flood the dock.

A view taken from the dock as the water rushes in.

It will take several hours for the water to fill the dock enough to lift Torsk off her blocks.

Water working it's way to the other end of the 1000-foot long drydock.

The only way off Torsk now is to swim!!!
