Richard "Guns" Mendelson with our tour guide. Dick was a Gunners Mate in the submarine service in the 50's, and served in the Israeli Army in the 60's as a Tank Commander. He is one of the volunteers aboard USS Torsk.
Back aft in the "Admirals Quarters". They told us this is still the original woodwork from when the ship was built in Germany.
