The crew lines up topside at 0800 on Sunday morning for the Tolling of the Bell ceremony, led by Guns.
Our Bugler from the Naval Academy, MU2 Ohlmeyer, plays while Doc raises the flag aft.
Guns reads off the names of the boats lost while Bill Derouin tolls the bell. John Cole and Jon Cooper assisted by holding the bell. Guns also included a moving tribute to INS Dakar, lost in 1968 and recently found in the Mediterranean.
Elizabeth reads a prayer she wrote for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Tom Denton presented a print of Torsk to MU2 Ohlmeyer. Tom is Base Commander for Capitol Base USSVI and the staff artist for American Submariner magazine.
