New London

*****

Nautilus' propellers are on display near the GEORGE WASHINGTON sail.

As you leave the Sub Force Museum, you pass by the gate into the Upper Base. It's well guarded!

A final view of Nautilus as we drove away.

We also visited the Flasher Memorial, located just south of the I-95 bridges.
Even though the day started out snowy, by early afternoon it had cleared to blue skies. It sure was cold, though!!

We drove over to New London, and down to the State Pier. This view of Electric Boat was taken from just south of State Pier.

Not much was going on over there - no boats in the water or visible outside the assembly building.

Our final stop before leaving the next morning was a quick visit to the Morton House in Niantic.

I wanted to see if it was still there, and sure enough, it is!!

Torsk had a party there in 1955. I am sure many other boat's did as well.

That's all folks!
