A view looking aft in the After Engine Room

A different view of the After Engine Room, taken during the deactivation and preservation of Main Engines #3 and #4.

Main Engines #1 and #2 were left in an operating state for later use by the Naval Reserves in Washington, D.C.

Forward Engine Room, lower flats, looking past the Hardie Tynes air compressors.

After Battery Well, after the batteries were removed. The steel dividers that separated the batteries are still in place.

This view is looking aft in the Conning Tower. Both periscopes are down in the scope wells.
