Torsk's port propeller.

Another view of the propeller.

The plaque on the propeller reads:

"This propeller is typical of the two used to propel World War II submarines. The one displayed here is from the USS Torsk on exhibit at Baltimore Inner Harbor. Torsk sank the last ship in WWII Aug. 15, 1945.  It is 7 feet 10 inches in diameter and weighs 3500 lbs. It is driven by a 1250 HP electric motor which gets power from four 1500 horsepower diesel generators"

Some of the stamped lettering on the propeller hub. At the top it reads "Furnace Stress Relieved NNSY 6/29/67, balanced 7/9/67."

At the bottom you can see TORSK stamped into the metal.

A close-up view of TORSK stamped into the propeller hub.

Many thanks to Paul Bissey for sending these photographs in.
