Conning Tower


Accomplishments:

  • Conning Tower was the most damaged area on the boat due to water intrusion, damage and neglect

  • Removed stainless steel plates and decking and repaired and preseved damaged areas

  • Removed all controls and indicators, restored and installed

  • Restored helm area and instruments

  • Manufactured new faceplates for Motor Order Telegraphs

  • Restored sinuous course clock

  • Acquired and installed Barometer, Clock, Sonar Repeater, Sextant Recorder and other instruments.

  • Acquired and installed a historically accurate signal searchlight
